area to participate in more competitive tournaments where play requires a
greater level of skill on the part of the player and a modest time
commitment from the player's family.
Signature Events:
- Wooden Bat Classic Baseball Tournament
NHAA hosts the region's first Wooden Bat Tournament. This event attracts
teams from all over the county and gives twelve year old players a chance to
feel the difference in play between the familiar metal bat and a wooden one.
Very little compares to the CRACK! of a baseball hit perfectly off the sweet
spot of a wooden bat.
- Attack At The Mac - 12 y.o. Fast-pitch
and Slow-pitch Softball Tournaments
The girls take to McIntyre Field to compete against the area's best softball
teams. Stop by "The Mac" and see why everybody is calling both of these
tournaments "The Greatest Show on Turf!"
- Knights of Columbus T.R.Y. Little League
Tournament:
For the past 50+ years, North Hills is one of only four associations invited
to participate in this worthwhile tournament. Other invited associations
include Brad-Mar-Pine, Ingomar/Franklin Park and McCandless.
- Recognition of - 12-year olds:
As a show of our appreciation, players who have been involved with NHAA's
Regular Season and who are registered to play as a 12-year old are
recognized by the Association and presented with a special gift, compliments
of the NHAA.
- NH Palomino Showcase:
Each year the North Hills Palomino team travels to an out-of-state baseball
showcase, giving our Varsity and Junior Varsity level players an opportunity
to play in front of college scouts.
- NH Palomino Memorial Weekend Wooden Bat
Bash
2013 was the first year NHAA sponsored this 17-18 year old baseball
tournament. Many college scouts were in attendance to evaluate our players,
and we are committed to carrying on this tradition for years to come.
